CHRISTIAN AUTHOR & SPEAKER
Make God Famous
This is my rally cry.
I know I’ve been put on this planet to make God famous.
In fact, I believe we all have. With every expression of Himself though us, God desires to be made known. He wants to use the mistakes of our past, the gifts in our present, and the choices we make in the future, to glorify Himself.
Making God famous is not something I want to do out of obligation or because I feel compelled to, due to the weight of shame I feel when I look at myself as a sinner compared to a Holy God. Instead, I want to glorify God because I know how much He loves me. Making God famous isn’t about me actively proving my love for God. Rather, it is staying so connected to His vine that I allow the truth of His love to manifest itself, which results in me showing the world, or my little corner of it, how incredible He is.
As you peruse these pages of this site, you’ll get to know a little more about me. I’m an actress, speaker, and writer (I’m also a group fitness instructor and vacation property manger, which I don’t talk about here, but you can follow me on social media and learn more!) My husband Markus and I have two boys, “Deuce” (Markus Jr.) and Solomon.
You and I have the greatest call on the planet, to make God famous. God doesn’t select some of us to do this, He’s selected all of us. We have the privilege make Him known.
Will you join me?
CHASING FAMOUS BOOK
What if God Wanted to Use You To Make Him Famous?
This kind of living requires us to see ourselves as instruments designed to be used for the glory of God. But most of us don’t see ourselves this way. Instead, we resign ourselves to be spectators in the audience, still waiting for our names to be called—to be cast in that next big role. Of course, we all hope to be selected. We end up auditioning for life, always striving to make the cut and gain approval. In our desire to be chosen, we forget that God’s already cast us in a unique role that only we can play.
Chasing Famous will help you:
- Let go of the exhaustion of constant comparison and embrace the unique role you were born to play.
- Unearth the insight and bravery you need to accomplish what God is calling you to do.
- Break free from the bondage of regret and live out, with audacious boldness, your mission in this world.

“I AM BEYOND INSPIRED.”
TRUSTING GOD WHEN HE CALLS YOU TO OBEDIENCE
In this message, Lisa challenges us to trust in the adequacy of God, despite our feelings of inadequacy, so we will DO what He’s called and equipped us to do.
LIVE YOUR LIFE TO MAKE GOD FAMOUS
God desires to make manifest His glory in and through us, we just have to say, “Yes, I’m willing” and leave the rest to Him.
WHAT WERE YOU BORN TO DO?
Lisa wrote and performed this spoken word poem to help others discover what they were born to do, become empowered to do it, and make God famous!
COMFORTABLE LIKE JESUS?
In this piece, Lisa invites us to consider how easy it is to choose comfort and safety over following Jesus. And yet, we are called to follow after Christ, who never walked easy. Are we willing to leave security behind to make God famous?
FORGIVE ME
Lisa wrote this spoken word piece after she leaned into the African-American culture to ask, “Why are you in pain?” instead of assuming, as she had done for so long, that the culture’s frustration was not legitimate. God’s Church is His plan for reconciliation, it starts with us.
About Lisa
THINGS I LOVE:
Coffee: I love the newness of a dark morning, a cup of coffee, and the worn carpet spot in my closet where I like to sit and hang out with God.
Talking with my family: Each night that we eat dinner together, we ask two questions around the table, “What was your high today? What was your low?” And the four of us learn about each other’s ups and downs and quality conversation (almost) always ensues. This is something I cherish and try not to take for granted.
Being pampered: A massage with extended time in a relaxation room beforehand, fills my “gotta be pampered” soul. A day at the spa? Even better. I also love nice hotel rooms with robes and slippers and all-inclusive vacations. I don’t get these all that often, so when I do, they are so special!
A long, deep conversation with a girlfriend: Ohhhhh I love this so much.
A great audio book: The writer in me loves a great fiction mystery or thriller. The actor in me loves to listen to the Talent that brings the book to life. It’s like watching a great movie in my head. Each time I finish a book I truly just worship God, that He made people so incredibly talented.
My tattoo: It says, “Make God Famous” in the beautiful handwriting of my tattoo artist. “Make God Famous” is my rally cry and the passion of my heart. Even though I’m often “on stage” in different ways, I want GOD to be made famous and known in and through my life.
Dates with my husband: Markus and I will try new adventures and restaurants or stick with the old standards. But each date, we enjoy the time together. And you may not be surprised to learn that one of my favorite parts is the conversation.
Jesus: Well, where to begin with this One? I’m not sure where you are with Him, but here’s where I am. I’ve been a Christian for several decades, and I’m just now coming to a place where I’m not responding to the cross as a horrible, shame-filled sinner, that God in His “SMH” attitude, saved. But instead, I’m believing I’m His delight and He created me to be in relationship with. Not despite myself and my sin, but with ALL of myself. And another truth I’m starting to own, not because I learned it as a kid, but because I know it now for myself, that He loves me, He loves YOU, with zero disappointment. May we all know this to the core of our being.
